How Many Treatment Do You Need?
The number of HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) sessions you need can vary based on several factors, including the type of HIFU device used, the condition being treated, and your individual response to treatment.
HIFU can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including wrinkles, skin laxity, and fat deposits. There are two types of HIFU devices: superficial and deep. Superficial HIFU devices are typically used to treat wrinkles and skin laxity, while deep HIFU devices are used to treat deeper tissue such as fat deposits.
In general, superficial HIFU devices require fewer sessions than deep HIFU devices. After only a single treatment, you may see the results that you desire. The results appear to improve over time, possibly for up to six months, as collagen production begins. As a result, while regular top-ups and repeat treatments are not required, the procedure is extremely long-lasting, up to three years.
For new patients, it is strongly advised to have at least three collagen-stimulating treatments in the first 12 weeks of their treatment with HIFU. This allows your skin to send the same inflammatory message to you in a short period of time. You will notice a positive difference in your skin in the following 12 weeks as a result of the treatments.
